Welcome to this week’s Friday Favorites, where I share a few of my favorite links, photos, recipes, or other things I’ve tried, enjoyed, or found interesting this week. Let’s dive in!
Up first, I tried a few new recipes (two I’ll be saving, one–eh, not so much). This recipe for a Mediterranean Crescent Ring was by far the best thing I’ve made this week. I made the recipe pretty much as-is, except I used fresh spinach, organic ingredients where possible, and added sun-dried tomatoes. It ended up being easier to prepare than it looks when complete, so I highly recommend trying it out.
I returned to the easy-peasy bread recipe from this post, but this time I added fresh garlic and brushed the bread with butter and Italian seasoning before baking. Definitely an upgrade!
We had some subzero temps again this week, which encouraged a little more cozy time indoors by the fire (like last week!) after a snowy walk through the woods. Doesn’t it look magical?
We got this smeg kettle as a wedding gift last fall, and it’s gotten more use than anything else, especially this time of year!
Somehow I’ve only just stumbled across Outdoor Gear Lab, and now I’m hooked!
Happy Groundhog Day! I’m hoping for more snowy winter.
This is one of my favorite daily backpacks.
This week I signed up for a Skillshare membership, and have been browsing their collection of creative and business classes. I’ve got a few watercolor painting classes in the queue, and I’m also looking at some of their writing, design, and technology courses. If you’re interested, use my link and you can try two months for free! I’ll check back in and let you know how my first few Skillshare courses went!
John and I have a little adventure planned this weekend, make sure you’re following along on Instagram to see what we’re up to on stories!
We’ve been getting our warm(est) layers out for Saturday, which made me start sorting through my winter boots. Warm boots are an absolute must, and this time of year you can usually find some good deals as the rest of the country is thinking Spring! I own this pair, which I highly recommend if you live in a northern climate like me, as they’re perfect for both everyday activities and adventures (I wear them snowshoeing). I’ve also created a short list of recommendations below:
I hope you have a wonderful weekend! And let me know–are you hoping for more winter or an early spring? Comment below!
