Friday Favorites

Happy Friday! I’m so glad you’re joining me for today’s post as I wrap up this week’s writings with a few of my favorite things. If you read yesterday’s post, you’ll know that one of my goals for 2018 is to spend more time cooking and baking, and learning new recipes, which leads me to my first favorite thing: this french onion soup recipe from The Simply Luxurious Life.

This recipe was ah-mazing, and surprisingly easy to make. It needs a bit of time to simmer and occasional stirring, so pull up a chair and flip through a magazine or take some time to write (like I did this week) while you enjoy the aroma.

I also made this super easy bread recipe, and it was the perfect pairing:

I loved this new-to-me cookie recipe, and I highly recommend baking up a batch this weekend (the marshmallows are gooey and delicious):

Full disclosure, my Christmas tree (or “winter tree” since I try to justify keeping it up longer for the pretty lights) is still in our living room, but I also picked up this painted wineglass (love it!) which has me inspired for some Valentine’s Day projects for home and for my Etsy shop. Speaking of, this card (which I have available all year round) has been flying off the shelves lately:

Love for The Office runs deep and true! I’m not sure if it’s appropriate to Friday Favorite my own items, but I absolutely love sending this card out to customers because (a) it’s fun to connect with fellow Office fans and (b) it validates my re-watching of tv shows I’ve seen more than … let’s just say a few times.

A few final favorites:

I picked up this book. Have you read it? I’m ready to sink into these pages.

This is one of my favorite podcasts, I’ve been listening now for over 5 years and always look forward to it.

These home decor ideas that have me inspired for making a few updates.
